SOCCERFEST 2012

The third annual Seattle United SOCCERFEST will take place June 27-July 1, 2012. This event will combine a handful of events aimed at creating development opportunities for our U11-U13 Regional Select players, fostering intra-region and inter-region club unity and, above all else, giving these players the opportunity to have a tremendous amount of fun.

SOCCERFEST, now in its third year, has already become a much-anticipated and very relevant event on the Seattle soccer calendar. We have BIG plans regarding the future direction of SOCCERFEST but have made the decision to start with more modest expectations and add a little bit to it every year. This year’s program will see the following events: a regionally operated soccer camp (W and Th), a centrally operated and organized games component (F, Sa and Su), the El Clasico Movie Wednesday, June 27th, 2012 and the world famous Seattle United Staff Match.

For the games component, each team will play 2-3 games over the course of the weekend against like-competition from other Regional Select teams. There may be opportunities for older teams, if interested, to play a game or two. This will depend on participation.

Here is an outline of the 2012 event (more exciting events will be announced leading up to event!):

Each Regional Select team, U11-U13, needs to contact your Regional Director to let them know of your participation by JUNE 1st! We are hoping that we have a good showing and expect to see all of our teams in attendance.

It should be noted that, while the Regional Camps and Friendlies are open only to our Regional U11-U13 teams, all other SOCCERFEST events are open to any and all Seattle United members!
