Founder’s Cup Play Update

Six Seattle United teams compete for the Washington State Founders Cup championship at the Starfire soccer complex in Tukwila this weekend, February 5 and 6.

Each of our club’s four regions, Shoreline, NorthEast, South, and West has a team playing for you to cheer on.

From 9am until 3:30pm there will be a Seattle United team on the field at the Starfire complex. The 9am game features the LVR Bulldogs. Although not a SU team they are an SYSA team so step over and cheer them on while the younger players warm up.

Grab your Seattle United Scarf or other gear and come cheer the kids on!

Out-takes from the Quarter Finals last weekend

Two of the matches last weekend that had two Seattle United teams playing each other went to extra time. For the B99 West Blue v South Black, PKs settled the game with the West edging the South. At the end of time, the B98 South Blue v West Blue game was tied nil – nil. With 5 minutes left of the 2nd overtime West Blue scored the game winner. ”A very, very exciting game that went down to the wire. Credit to the SU South team because they were a good team that did not give up. I thought my boys played a great overall game and I was glad we were able to put away a goal 5 mins before the end of the second overtime.   We’re starting to play some of our best soccer and I’m excited for them to be in the semifinal!” comment coach Cadogan after the match.

West Regional Director Kyle Rodeheaver had this to say about Seattle United, “In our first year as a club, I'm not sure we could have expected any better. We have a solid group of coaches that really understand what development is and have put in the time with the kids to make their seasons a success.“
