Brandon is a product of the local youth soccer community and has prospered at the youth, collegiate and professional levels. He joins an impressive founding club coaching slate and his addition reflects the club’s commitment to proven, top-level coaching, progressive player development, and a club infrastructure worthy of its position as the unified select soccer club for the SYSA.
Born in Seattle, Prideaux starred at both Kentridge High School and then at the University of Washington. Upon graduation in 1998, he joined the Seattle Sounders of the A-League that started his 12 years of professional soccer. While with the Sounders, Prideaux attracted the attention of Major League Soccer (MLS) and subsequently signed with the Kansas City Wizards. He played 3 years with the Wizards (1999-2001), including one MLS Cup in 2000. Then he played for DC United over a 5 year span and won his 2nd MLS Cup in 2004. The balance of his MLS career was with the Colorado Rapids and Chicago Fire. He retired from professional soccer after the 2009 MLS Cup Eastern Conference playoff final, having played over 250 games in 11 seasons.
Brandon re-united with the University of Washington, joining their men's soccer team coaching staff in January as an assistant coach.
