Coaching philosophy: Provide a higher level of competitive play for soccer players who strive to become better players themselves. Impart a positive team based environment and further develop tactical play for developing players. The Riptide coaching staff focus is on the player and team development; all players need to play in a competitive soccer environment to become better team players.

Competition: 4TH year team will be BU17 this year, played in WSYSA North Puget Sound League, District Gold Select, in a mixed District 1, 2, and 3 league, last year’s league, season length was 14 games, with 2 byes. Our third season taking part in the WYSA Founder’s Cup, lost in semi-final round to eventual Cup Champion.

Travel: We play in the D1/D2/D3 North Puget Sound league: Gold Division; District 1 plays from Seattle north to the Canadian border and District 2 is from Kenmore west toward Issaquah and District 3 is Renton south to Tacoma. In our age group there are currently no teams further north than Everett. Home games are at Shoreline A & B fields, Twin Ponds, or Shorecrest high school.

Budget: Estimated $950 per player, with 1 scholarship available. Price includes Seattle United program fee, full uniform kit, along with summer and State Tournament fees.  (SU program fee and uniform fee are paid directly to the Club.) No coaching fee is charged, only a paid trainer fee which is inclusive. Some team fund raising will be considered to extend our paid trainer.

Professional trainer from the UK Elite soccer program, last year's trainer Tim, had a great rapport with the players and was able to provide additional individualized player reviews with feedback on skill-sets and areas of improvement.  UK Elite will again provide player and team feedback and sessions and they will be split between the summer and fall training season.

Summer Tournaments planned: Minimum three tournaments, June, July, and August, within the greater Western Washington area.
