Kailuana (Kai) Bond joins the club with a strong playing experience through collegiate and semi-professional levels.
She played youth club soccer at Northwest Nationals and at FC Elite (now Crossfire), where she was team captain and member of State Championship teams at both clubs. While at FC Elite, Kai was coached by legendary player Jimmy Gabriel. Her youth club playing career culminated in her being selected for the Washington Youth Soccer ODP District, State and Regional teams as well as being selected for the girls National Team camp.
Kai played her high school ball at Seattle Prep where she was a 4-year starter with the women's varsity team and honored with First Team All-Metro League all four years. She was team captain and received MVP honors. While at Prep, Kai lettered not only in soccer but also in basketball and track, where she placed 4th in the Washington State 4x4 relay.
Upon graduation, Kai was the recipient of 8 Division 1 college scholarships. She accepted a full scholarship to the University of San Francisco (Division I) where she became team captain. She finished her collegiate career at Gonzaga University where she was a member of the first women's team in school history to make the NCAA Playoffs.
Kai was a member of the semi-professional San Francisco Nighthawks, a member of the USISL W-League. SHe also was a member of the Seattle Sounder Women's soccer team, a member of the USSL W-League.
Kai is on the coaching staff of Seattle Prep's Girls and Boys soccer programs. She has coached at youth levels at Tynecastle Football Club and served as an Academy coach. Kai has worked in youth soccer camps at the University of San Francisco and the Northwest Soccer Camp.
Kai received her BA in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Gonzaga University.
