Randy Johnson -- Founding Club Coach

Randy Johnson

Randy joins Seattle United with a lifetime of experience playing and coaching soccer.

He started playing and coaching as a youth in Florida.  In 1978, Randy coaches his first team, boys U10, when the local club asked for volunteer coaches.

Randy came west to play for Seattle Pacific University and learned much from Cliff McCrath.  While in college, and for a period of time afterwards, he coached in summer soccer camps in Washington and Atlanta Georgia.  For fourteen years, Randy played and managed a men’s open division team in Seattle, winning several league titles.

In 2001, he returned to his roots and resumed coaching youth soccer at the recreational and select level.  He still plays competitively, playing for the five time over 40 national champions, Tri-Alliance.  When not involved with the administration, coaching, or playing of soccer, Randy is busy practicing law.

Randy holds a USSF "D" coaching license.
