Born in Denver, CO and raised in Anchorage, AK, Jake Gillen played competitive soccer from his youth to the collegiate level. He played youth soccer with Alaska Goldstrikers, and Spokane Falcons as a member of several state championship teams. Jake also played ODP for AK.
In high school, Jake played 4 years varsity and won two 4A State Championships. He played in college for Spokane Falls Community College and Concordia University where he won a NAIA Cascade Conference Championship and was a 2 time finalist in the NWAAC.
As a coach, Jake has a passion for teaching and working with today’s youth soccer players. He has coached within the Washington youth premier leagues for 7 years, 6 years with HPFC before joining Seattle United in 2011.
Jake currently holds a USSF ’B’ License. Jake is looking to continue his coaching education as a candidate for both the USSF National ‘A’ License as well as .in the near future.
