UNITED FOR AID

Every year, SU teams compete with pride on fields across the state, the West Coast, and nationally. There are tournament wins, league championships, college showcases, and lots of fun! Players gain skills, knowledge about the game, and learn life lessons along the way.

The club has reached great heights in large part due to the time and support that members like you have shown our community. Our on-field success is directly impacted by the generosity of our membership, which provides financial aid to players who may not otherwise be fortunate enough to play club soccer. The financial aid program has had a very measurable and tangible impact on who we are and what we have become, including:

A financial aid program that has awarded over $5M in 17 years, awarding a total of more than $400,000 in financial aid this season already.

We have reached thousands of low-income, under-resourced youth soccer players across the city who, but for your annual donations, would not have access or opportunity to play competitive youth soccer. In addition to the financial impact Seattle United has on the community, we also support the work of the King County Play Equity Coalition, a network of nonprofit organizations dedicated to challenging and changing systems to shift power and center physical activity as a key part of health and youth development across our county.

Seattle United is a community asset, helping our communities in areas both on and off the pitch. In our 17 years, we have never denied financial assistance to any qualified applicant attending tryouts. That extraordinary accomplishment is due to thousands of families that have moved through the club over the years.

With more families than ever needing help, if every player raised $150, we would more than meet our goal. Parents and players, be ready to engage with your social network in the month ahead. Send an email and post to your social media channels. If just ten family members or friends donate $15 each, your child will have reached their goal.

United for Aid launches on October 9th and runs for four weeks. Returning from last year, we will host a UFA Coaches vs Players game on October 25th; kickoff will be 6:00 pm at Nathan Hale HS. Expect fun games and prizes in the build-up to kickoff before the focus shifts to a showcase of Seattle United soccer on the field. Keep an eye out on social media for more details and ways for players/teams to get involved in the game!

How to Donate:

You don't need to log into your player's account on the UFA page to donate. Instead, you simply search for your player using the search bar at the top of the UFA website, and that will take you to their team page. On that page, you can select your player and link all donations to them for contests and participation tracking. From that page, you can also view donations from others linked to your player to see participation from family and friends.

Here is a quick how-to video on donating on our UFA page!

Help spread the word! Share these assets on your social media pages and encourage your community to support United for Aid.
