CERTIFIED ATHLETIC TRAINER

Jasmin Zachwieja is the athletic trainer for Seattle United. Originally from Southern California, Jasmin attended Concordia University in Portland, OR where she played soccer all 4 collegiate years while earning a B.A. in Exercises and Sports Science. While playing for Concordia, she not only played in the NAIA National Tournament all 4 years but won the title in 2013 and received the MVP of the tournament award that year. After her time at Concordia, Jasmin moved to Massachusetts for 2 years to earn her M.S. in Athletic Training at Bridgewater State University. In 2021 Jasmin played professionally in the first African Champions League Tournament where she scored 2 goals and made the Best XI of the Group Stage.

As an athletic trainer, Jasmin has had a widespread of experience ranging from professional adult athletes all the way to youth recreational. She has had many internships that have involved colleges, high school, physical therapy clinics, and even FC Dallas. She has her WA license in Athletic Training as well as national certification in Athletic Training since 2017. She also has a certification in Kinesio Tape Levels 1 & 2 and is adult & pediatric first aid/AED/CPR certified. Before working with Seattle United, Jasmin worked as the athletic trainer for the Seattle Reign Academy. Her focus is on injury prevention and return to sport rehabilitation as well as her on-field injury surveillance. Since 2020, she has also become the COVID-19 point person for the club. In 2022, she also started coaching a team in the Junior Academy.

Jasmin is married to her husband, Hunter, and they have a dog named Eevee. They all enjoy soccer, hiking, and going on runs. Jasmin’s favorite soccer team is Barcelona FC, both men’s and women’s teams.
