Matt Dorman

Matt Dorman grew up in Nottingham, England & moved to the USA in 2008 after completing his BA at the University of Birmingham & MA at Leeds Carnegie, first moving to Washington DC and then transferring to the Pacific Northwest in 2012.

Matt completed his USSF ‘A-Youth’ coaching license in 2019, the NSCAA (now United Soccer Coaches) Premier Diploma in 2012 & Director of Coaching Diploma in 2016 & is currently enrolled on the UEFA ‘A’ License course with the Scottish FA. Matt has also undertaken the USSF Coach Educator License & conducts ‘D’ License education courses through Washington Youth Soccer.  

Matt has experience at various levels including international as an opposition scout for the USWNT (2022 UEFA European Championships), professional as a video analyst for OL Reign of the NWSL (2020-21), collegiate as an assistant coach for the men’s & women’s programs at Saint Martins University (2016-17), head coach of the women’s soccer program at Shoreline Community College (2014-16), high school as head coach of the girls program at Bellevue HS (2013-14), ODP as Region IV coach (2017) & WA EPD coach (2013-19). Matt also coached extensively at the youth level including Regional Club League, US Development Academy & ECNL.

Matt is married to wife Mallory, has two beautiful daughters Isla 4 years & Rosie 1 year & lives on Vashon Island. His favorite team is Nottingham Forest, and favorite all team player seen at a live game is Ronaldinho. He enjoys heading to the beach with the kiddos, reading a good book & camping out in the PNW.
